This is how you can support us.

Hello all!

Since we closed last Sunday, we've received so many emails and messages on social media from customers asking 'how can we help?'. While we are very aware that in these strange times investing in a painting may not be on everyone's priority list, spending £2.50 on a greetings card, which you can redeem when we re-open, maybe just the ticket!

We have created a GoFundMe page here. It came to this as due to the size of our premisses, we won't be eligible for a large portion of the government help. There is a long and bumpy ride ahead of us, anything you can do to help us prepare is gratefully received.

We are still processing online orders from our newly established web shop. Please have a look, we are listing new work every day!

Wishing you all the best and thank you for your support,

CCA and CCC Team

Gallery update

We would like to ensure you that we are being as thoughtful as we can regarding the recent outbreak of Covid-19.

To protect our staff and customers as of end of today (Sunday 22nd March) we are temporarily closing cambridge contemporary art and cambridge contemporary crafts

Thank you for the outpouring of support and kind wishes for our staff and artists after our recent newsletter. We really appreciate your support and we hope to see you online - our web shop will be updated regularly.

Please take care and look after yourselves and your family.

Best wishes,

Nathalie Staples and The Gallery Team

Thank you for the outpouring of support and kind wishes for our staff and artists after yesterday's post. We are hoping that the government and our landlords will implement rent relief and postpone business rates. The gallery has been a prominent fixture on Cambridge high street for almost 25 years.

We will do everything we can to survive at least another 25.

We are working hard to make sure we have more work listed online. Please watch this space.

Message from the Gallery Owner

Dear Customers,

During this difficult time, the safety of our customers and our staff members is our highest priority. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak evolves, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure this.

We won’t lie, as a small independent business we are extremely worried about the upcoming months. We rely heavily on customers physically visiting the gallery and seeing the artwork before purchasing it. Without you all, we cannot exist and provide good service for all the artists we represent.

In the upcoming days a big portion of the gallery’s artwork will become available online, including paintings, original prints and ceramics.

You can also support us by buying our gift cards and choosing your artwork in the gallery later.

We are still open as usual until further notice:

cambridge contemporary art Monday-Saturday 9am-5.30pm,

cambridge contemporary crafts Monday-Saturday 10am-5.30pm

both galleries are open 11am-5pm on Sundays.

You can already purchase ceramics, jewellery and gifts and vouchers on our online shop here

We remain hopeful that the situation improves quickly and send our love to all those affected.

Sincerely,
Nathalie Staples and the Gallery Team

Mother's Day at the galleries

Mother's Day is just around the corner. We have prepared a selection of lovely handmade pieces, perfect for gifts. You can buy them online now, just click on the photos below. They will arrive in plenty of time for Sunday 22nd March if you order on or before Thursday 19th March.

You are helping artists to sustain their livelihood and  supporting two locally run independent galleries

The work you buy will be unique and original - you won’t find it elsewhere in Cambridge

Everything is handmade by artists working in the UK
